Dermapen is a cutting-edge microneedling device for various aesthetic treatments, including anti-ageing, stretch marks, skin rejuvenation, and scar reduction. It is a highly effective and safe treatment that uses tiny needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating the body's natural healing process and promoting collagen and elastin production. Dermapen provides its clients with the latest and most effective treatment, delivering impressive results with minimal downtime and discomfort. It suits all skin types and can be customised to address individual concerns and needs. With Dermapen, clients can achieve smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin in a non-invasive and efficient way.

Dermapen is used for various cosmetic procedures to improve the skin’s appearance. It is commonly used for microneedling, a treatment that involves creating tiny punctures in the skin to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, tone, and firmness. Dermapen can also be used for scar reduction, stretch mark reduction, and improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, Dermapen can enhance the absorption of topical skincare products by improving their penetration into the skin.

Before Care

  • Consult our doctor to determine if the treatment suits your skin type and concerns.
  • Refrain from IPL or laser treatments, unprotected sun exposure, or sunburn at least two weeks before the Dermapen procedure.
  • Avoid electrolysis, waxing, or depilatory lotions in the treatment area five to seven days before the procedure.
  • Do not shave on the day of the surgery to prevent skin irritation.
  • Avoid sun exposure or tanning for at least a week before the treatment.
  • Avoid using topical creams, lotions, or other skincare products that contain active ingredients such as retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA), and beta-hydroxy acids (BHA) for several days before the treatment.
  • Stop using aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or blood-thinning medications at least one week before the treatment.
  • Inform the aesthetician or dermatologist if you have any active skin infections, cold sores, or open wounds in the treatment area.
  • Arrive for the treatment with clean, makeup-free skin.
  • Drink plenty of water and maintain a healthy diet to ensure your skin is well-hydrated and nourished before the treatment.

  • The nurse thoroughly cleanses the skin.
  • The appropriate needle depth is selected based on the specific skin concern being treated.
  • The Dermapen device has a sterile, disposable tip cartridge containing 11 tiny needles.
  • The device is then activated, and the vertical tip stamps the skin, creating micro-injuries that stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin.
  • The needles move quickly up and down, puncturing the skin's surface and creating tiny, evenly spaced channels.
  • The depth and speed of the needles are controlled to ensure even coverage and avoid excessive damage to the skin.
  • After the treatment, the skin may be slightly red, tender, and swollen for a few days.
  • Patients are advised to avoid sun exposure and wear high-quality sunscreen for several days after the treatment.

After Care

  • Avoid using any products that could irritate the skin.
  • Apply a high-SPF sunscreen or avoid exposure to the sun.
  • Use only light makeup and gentle skincare products during the healing process.
  • Avoid rigorous activity, saunas, and steam rooms.
